LASER THERAPY

"Effective Treatment for a Variety of Medical Conditions and Pain Syndromes"

Technology called Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) uses selected wavelength of light and delivers it deep into tissues. Unlike traditional surgical lasers that produce heat, LLLT lasers are able to penetrate deep into tissues causing no damage to cells. Instead, cells are flushed with light particles (photons) that are absorbed by mitochondria (cell’s batteries). Mitochondria uses the photons to recharge themselves and produce a luxurious supply of chemical energy in the form of ATP. This ATP is used to maintain the integrity of cells, protein synthesis and overall restoration of cell function. The natural process of healing and tissue regeneration can begin which leads to improved targeted organ function.

Clinical Benefits

Quick Recovery from Sport Injuries:
Powerful anti-inflammatory, analgesic and modulatory effect on wound healing, makes LLLT a perfect choice for a variety of sport injuries including sprains, tendon or muscle injuries. It provides almost instant improvement in pain and swelling, promotes fast healing, which includes bone healing in the case of fracture.

Pain Control:
LLLT improves muscle tone and blood and lymph flow, provides analgesia and restores normal function of neurons, promotes bone growth and improves mineralization. It dramatically improves all forms of arthritis, neuropathies and other pain syndromes. The lack of side effects makes it an excellent alternative to injections, steroids and NSAIDs.

Wound Healing:
LLLT stimulates metabolic rate and modulates cell growth. It also increases blood and lymph flow in compromised areas. It accelerates healing of either acute or chronic wounds. Even the most resistant chronic wounds are potentially responsive. A variety of skin disorders such as psoriasis, keloids, hypertrophic scars, and eczema have responded well to this therapy.

Side Effects:
LLLT is not only painless but also free from adverse effects. A variety forms of LLLT have been used for over 20 years in Europe and their safety has been well established. The FDA classifies LLLT lasers as “non-significant” risk devices. It can cause retinal damage, however is pointed directly into the eye. Consequently, protective eyeglasses must be worn at all times during treatment.

Contraindications:
Cancer, direct exposure over a tattoo, exposure over pregnant uterus.
